Le Quang Canh is a current Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Kansas State University. Canh received B.A. in Banking and Finance in 1997 and M.A. in Economics of Development from the National Economics University in 2001.

 

His research interests include Applied Econometrics, International Economics, and Economic Growth and Forecasting. The recent work proposes the double length regression tests for functional forms and spatial dependence and applications of these tests. He is also interested in doing research relating to international economics' issues, for example "China's economic growth and its effects on Vietnam's trade".  

 



 

His current research is also to examine relationship between economic integration and economic growth, in which research tries to answer how faster economic integration of a country into regional organization affects economic growth of the region/organization and itself. He also investigates how fertility affects parental labor force participation and labor supply in Vietnam based on the Vietnam Living Standard Survey in 2006.

 

Other interests of his research are in economic modeling and forecasting. In the research, he develops models to measure impacts of trade liberalization on household welfare, sets up scenarios of trade liberalization then estimates how household welfare changes.

 

The author or co-author of seven articles and a book, his work has appeared in the ASEAN Economic Bulletin, Economic and Development Review, Financial Journal.
